Ivan Rajkovic joined the patent profession in 1993 and became a partner in 2000. He has extensive experience in the intellectual property field, including drafting specifications, patent prosecution, oppositions, litigation support and the commercialisation of intellectual property.
Ivan has over thirteen years’ post-doctoral academic research experience in the biomedical field and a further four years of commercial research and development experience. His particular expertise lies in the areas of molecular immunology and oncology, biomolecular engineering, microbial biochemistry and pharmaceuticals. He has additional experience in autoimmune disease and inflammation, growth factors, cytokines and their receptors in regulation of immune response; monoclonal antibody technology and antibody purification; immunoassays, development and validation; immunoglobulin genes and genetic engineering of antibodies; expression of recombinant proteins, particularly bio-pharmaceuticals, in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells; transgenic animals/plants and gene therapy.
Ivan is the author of 45 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals in the fields of molecular and cellular biology and immunology. He is also a frequent speaker at national and international conferences in the field of biotechnology patenting and commercialisation.
