Rebekah Gay has been a lawyer with Shelston IP since 2004, specialising in the enforcement and protection of all intellectual property rights, including copyright, trade marks, patents and designs. Rebekah acts in Federal Court litigation and also before the Australian Patent and Trade Marks Office in prosecution and opposition matters. She also advises clients in relation to the development and implementation of strategies for the protection of their intellectual property rights.
Other areas of expertise include domain name disputes, confidential information, anti-piracy and counterfeiting, trade practices and consumer protection, comparative advertising, trade practices compliance programs, country of origin labeling as well as other packaging, brand and labeling issues.
In addition to her law degree, Rebekah has a science degree, majoring in genetic engineering. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and in both the High Court and Federal Court of Australia.
Rebekah enjoys running, reading and classical music.
