Lyrissa Di Fiore joined Shelston IP in 2007 and practices in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. She is currently working towards becoming a registered Australian patent attorney.
Lyrissa’s areas of specialty include molecular biology and biochemistry. Lyrissa holds a BSc (Hons) degree from La Trobe University and a PhD degree from Monash University and Prince Henry’s Institute of Medical Research. Her PhD thesis reported on Lyrissa’s investigation of gene expression in the adapting small bowel following small bowel resection. Following her doctoral studies, Lyrissa undertook post-doctoral research in the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Sydney University where she worked on a Meat and Livestock Australia-funded project studying molecular aspects of ovine Johne’s disease.
In her spare time Lyrissa enjoys rock climbing, the beach, cycling and going to the cinema.
