Michael Deacon joined Shelston IP Lawyers in 2007. He has a background in commercial legal practice and has previously worked extensively on commercial transactions. Michael is also admitted to practice as a legal practitioner before the Supreme Court of NSW.
Michael has a strong belief that all individuals and businesses should be able to strategically manage and derive benefit from their own intellectual property. He is committed to ensuring his clients take full advantage of their intellectual property rights when entering into commercial arrangements and can assist with a range of commercial transactions including assignments, joint ventures, licensing agreements, manufacturing agreements and consultancy agreements.
Apart from his law degree, Michael has an arts degree majoring in philosophy and is continuing further studies in intellectual property law with the intention of becoming a registered Trade Mark Attorney.
In his spare time Michael enjoys playing a range of sports and also enjoys listening to, playing and writing music.
