Lee Morrisroe joined Shelston IP in 2007 and practices in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Lee is currently working towards becoming a registered Australian patent attorney.
Prior to joining Shelston IP, Lee gained considerable experience with boutique intellectual property firms in Birmingham, U.K. and Ottawa, Canada, as well as a large full-service law firm in Toronto, Canada.
Lee is experienced in the drafting and prosecution of patents relating to antibodies, genes vaccines, screening methods, transgenic animals, diagnostic kits, biomaterials and medical devices including stents catheters and orthopedic implants in the U.K., Europe, Canada and other jurisdictions. Lee also has experience in the fields of phosphorus chemistry, leather tanning technology, water treatment and oil field applications.
Lee graduated from the University of Leeds with a first class honours degree in Biochemistry with Molecular Biology for which he was awarded the Frank Happold Prize for graduating top of his class. Lee then went on to obtain a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Manchester. As a result of his studies, Lee has extensive knowledge of the areas of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, cell biology, virology and immunology.
