Michael Zammit joined Shelston IP in 2004 and works primarily with patents.
Michael’s areas of specialty include chemistry, particularly polymer chemistry, surface coatings, fibre cement and polymer processing techniques such ass extrusion and injection moulding. His PhD research was in the area of free radical polymerization kinetics. This research included the direct measurement of polymerization rate coefficients with a pulsed-laser apparatus and the subsequent measurement of the molecular weight distributions with advanced chromatography (multiple-detection SEC) and mass spectrometry (MALDI TOF) techniques.
Prior to joining Shelston IP Michael worked for Dulux in their Resin Technology laboratories and at James Hardie Research & Product Development laboratories.
