Owen Gee joined Shelston IP in 2004 and practises in the field of mechanical and general engineering patents. Prior to joining Shelston IP, Owen worked as a project engineer and project manager for a number of multinational companies, gaining field experience in refineries, chemical process plants, paper mills, commercial and industrial construction sites.
Owen’s areas of technical expertise are mechanical and industrial engineering. Through his extensive field experience, he is familiar with the various technologies found in the large-scale chemical process, manufacturing, petrochemical and building services industries.
Owen also has experience in the biomedical field, having worked in human balance (neuro-otology) research and has gained industry qualifications in computer networking.
Owen also lectures at the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building at the University of Technology, Sydney. He has also been involved with the annual DesignTECH HSC Student Exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, including delivering seminars during the Exhibition.
Owen enjoys camping, kayaking and appreciates good design.
