    Legal 500 Asia Pacific - Leading Individual 2015Chris Bevitt heads our commercial law team. He combines a strong intellectual property focus with the knowledge and experience gained from over 20 years of practise in commercial law. Chris advises on a broad range of contractual and transactional matters including acquisitions and disposals of businesses and shares, company structuring, shareholders agreements, advertising and sponsorship contracts, trading terms and conditions and other commercial contracts. In the IP commercialisation area, he assists with joint ventures, licensing agreements, supply and distribution agreements and manufacturing agreements.

    Chris has special interest in all aspects of information technology and communications law including software development, licensing and maintenance, outsourcing (IT and BPO), telecommunications contracts, ASP arrangements, ecommerce, government information technology conditions, and privacy law.

    Plain language drafting is one of Chris’ great strengths. He has prepared a comprehensive plain language training manual and has run many training courses in using plain language.

    In 2015 Chris Bevitt was recommended for Intellectual Property Law by Asia Pacific Legal 500. Chris is also Recommended by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM 1000 2015) for being “an effective communicator who provides concise, practical guidance, even on the most complicated deals.”
