  • Overview

    As Shelston IP’s China Business Development Manager, Dr Li Li actively assists our Chinese clients and our attorneys and lawyers to harmoniously interact and to arrive at the best IP solutions. Li Li assists with all China IP-related patents, registered designs, trademarks, copyright and litigation.

    Li Li also works closely with the principals in the firm to assist them better understand the China IP environment and the specific needs and values of our Chinese clients so that Shelston IP can continue to deliver the most commercially-relevant and cost-effective service. She also maintains a close watch developments in the China IP market to make sure the firm is up-to-date with current China IP issues.

    Li Li came to Shelston IP with a strong technical, academic, legal and business background. Li Li has a PhD from Hong Kong University. She worked as an Assistant Lecturer at Hebei Normal University, as a Lecturer at Capital Normal University and as an assistant research officer at the HKU-Pastuer Research Centre at Hong Kong University. She initially entered the IP industry as a trainee patent attorney and worked with several IP firms in China. Li Li was engaged not only in reviewing and translating biological, mechanical and general electronics-related patent applications, but also in overseas IP business development. In addition, she was a member of a work team that undertook patent research and competitor analysis for local Chinese clients.

    Li Li’s mission at Shelston IP is to form bridges between our attorneys and our clients so that all may prosper from a sustained mutually beneficial relationship.

    Through her diligent work over the last five years at Shelston IP and her insight into the Chinese IP landscape, Li Li gained recognition in the Shelston IP 2014 Client Service Awards by being named as Shelston IP’s Most Exceptional Service Provider.

    Li Li was nominated in the IP Specialist Category for her client focus in The Financial Review Client Choice Awards 2017.
