"Since returning from a twelve month maternity leave break, I’m now working part-time, balancing my career and being a first-time mum. I couldn’t imagine doing it anywhere else."
I accepted a secretarial position with Shelston IP in 2001, having just returned from a working holiday in London. Over the years I’ve been given numerous opportunities to keep me interested and develop my skills.
As a secretary I supported an attorney who was one of the firm’s most admired Principals.
I was then promoted to Team Secretary and led the administrative team which supported one of the largest practice groups in the firm.
For two years I served as Administration Manager, doing project work and overseeing the front-of-house.
In 2010, I moved into my current role, that of Marketing Executive. This is without doubt the most challenging of all the positions I’ve held – it’s fast-paced, there’s lots of juggling, and every day I’m engaging with all parts of my firm, and with a multitude of external agencies, suppliers, industry and business associations.
